Chevron Painting for the Mantle {tutorial}

Whenever Ben is out of town {as he was last night}, I generally end up staying up way too late doing some sort of art project. I warned Ben that I was going to decorate for Christmas early {simply can't wait this year!} so last night I began my first bit of it.

I'm super into the chevron pattern right now and wanted something a bit anthropologie looking. I also found this and this on Pinterest {yes, I'm addicted} so they were also my inspiration.

{i actually used the other side since there were so many knots}

{used a roller to paint the white and started with the painters tape...which took forever!}

{i used Behr Cotton Fluff W-D-400 & Porpoise 790E-3}

{i really like how it turned out but might add a garland to hang off one side}

Can't wait to add the rest of the mantle decor! Will post more photos in the weeks to come!
